Over the past week at the Commodity Exchange in Novi Sad, a total of 1,025 tons of goods were traded (24.63% less than the previous week), with an overall financial value of 22,195,500 Serbian dinars.
During this period, there was notably low activity in the market, and similar to the past two weeks, corn was again the primary commodity traded.
Throughout the entire week, the market for corn remained particularly calm with minimal participation from both sellers and buyers. Toward the end of the week, there was a slight increase in activity, but the final day of the week was once again quiet.
Corn was traded in a price range of 17.50 to 18.00 dinars/kg without VAT. The weighted average price was 17.92 dinars/kg without VAT (19.72 dinars/kg with VAT), indicating a slight price increase of 0.15% compared to seven days earlier. Corn continued to dominate the trading, accounting for 83% of the total trading volume.
Similarly, there was reduced activity in the wheat market throughout the week. Wheat was traded in a price range of 19.00 to 19.70 dinars/kg without VAT, with a weighted average price of 19.35 dinars/kg without VAT (21.86 dinars/kg with VAT). As wheat with 11% to 12% protein content was traded this week, compared to higher-quality wheat traded the previous week, there was a price decrease of 13.76%. Wheat contributed 10% to the total trading volume.
Regarding the soybean market, there was nearly no activity on either the supply or demand side throughout the week. One exchange contract was concluded early in the week at a price level of 53.00 dinars/kg without VAT, including quality assessment, which was also the weighted average price. The price increased by 0.95% compared to the previous week.
From other goods, exchange contracts were concluded for sunflower meal with 33% protein in the price range of 30.50 to 31.20 dinars/kg without VAT.
