Serbia and Albania will cooperate in the field of construction, Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said on Tuesday.
She told reporters after a meeting with Albania’s Minister of Urban Development and Tourism Eglantina Gjermeni that a memorandum of cooperation between the two ministries had been drafted.
“Our two countries can cooperate in the field of urbanism and construction. The draft memorandum has already been prepared, and we will sign it soon,” Mihajlovic said.
Gjermeni said that she was pleased with a good atmosphere in the cooperation between Serbia and Albania, which had been boosted with the exchange of visits between the prime ministers of the two countries.
In the cooperation, the EU integration process will be a shared objective, Gjermeni said, adding that the cooperation on regional projects could make the region stronger.
On Wednesday, Belgrade will host an international forum on the introduction of modern legislation and electronic services for construction permitting titled “Construction Permits for a Competitive Region” that will bring together ministers from countries in the region.
