Economic cooperation between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates will be further strengthened in 2020, with a significantly larger presence of Serbian companies in the Emirates, said Marko Selakovic, head of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (SCC) office in Dubai, and announced the UAE’s visit to our country during April.

– Already in the first months of operation of the SCC Office in Dubai, significant progress has been made, and the year we have stepped in will bring numerous activities and new achievements – said Selakovic, after meeting with the leadership of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Selakovic said that partnership with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce is very important, not only for the Serbian economy, but for the entire Western Balkans region.

– The activities of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Western Balkan Chamber of Investment Forum are positively perceived by our partners – the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. The first regional centers of Serbian companies have started operations, and over 20 companies from Serbia, of which about fifteen are exhibitors, will be presented at Gulfood 2020, the world’s largest food fair from February 16 to 20 in Dubai, Selakovic said for Srbija Danas.

– It is our commitment to the two-way cooperation between Serbia and the UAE, which is why meetings between businessmen of Serbia and the UAE are very important. The announcement of the UAE delegation’s arrival in April is a clear signal that Serbia is recognized as a true partner and a country of strong potential – said the SCC representative in Dubai.

He stressed that the intensive cooperation between the Serbian and Dubai Chambers of Commerce and the activities of the SCC Office, with the strong support of the Serbian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, are a guarantee of further strengthening of the presence of companies from Serbia and the Western Balkans throughout the Middle East region, as well as further growth of economic cooperation between Serbia and UAE.

Selakovic expects that the Serbian economy will get the opportunity to present itself in the best way at the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai, where the performance of our country is organized by a commissariat appointed by the Serbian Government, writes Srbija Danas.
