Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said Wednesday Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev had told him Kazakhstan would vote in favour of importing one contingent of Serbian-made cars to the Eurasian Economic Union free of duties.

Nikolic told this to reporters following a meeting with Nazarbayev.

Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic said Tuesday the last barrier to duty-free exports of Serbian-made Fiat cars to the Eurasian region had been overcome after Kazakhstan’s Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev had pledged earlier in the day his country would vote in favour of the exports at the next Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) Council meeting.
