The official talks of the delegation of the Republic of Serbia with the mission of the International Monetary Fund began today with a plenary meeting, which was held in video format. The delegation of the Republic of Serbia is led by Jorgovanka Tabakovic, the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, and the mission of the International Monetary Fund is led by Jan Kees Martijn.
Talks with the International Monetary Fund mission, which will last until July 3, will be held within the fourth semi-annual review of the Policy Coordination Instrument, which was approved in July 2018 and is of an advisory nature.
On that occasion, the current fiscal, monetary and overall macroeconomic trends will be reviewed, including the impact of the pandemic on the domestic and world economy, and the prospects and projections for the coming period will be discussed. In addition, the reform and quantitative goals of the implementation of the economic program, which does not envisage the use of funds from the International Monetary Fund, will be considered.
The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, and his associates also participated in today’s talks, Nova reports.
