Never before in Serbia has so much been invested in the development of roads and bridges

The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, stated that the budget for 2021 is primarily focused on development and that never more money is invested in the development of highways and bridges.
“Today, we will have only one point at the Government session, and that is the adoption of the budget for 2021. By the end of the day, it will be in the Assembly, 15 days is the deadline for MPs to look at the budget, after that we enter the parliamentary debate,” said Mali for Pink Television.
Mali said that in the budget for 2021, 2.28 billion euros will be allocated for capital projects. “Highways, clinical centers, hospitals, schools continue to be built,” said Mali, emphasizing that despite the crisis, the capital budget will increase by 35%.
He stated that the maximum, every dinar that is saved goes to investments.
“Next year, unlike most countries in the world, we will increase the standard. Pensions will increase by 5.9 percent from January 1, salaries in the public sector by 5 percent, and 3.5 percent for those who are not in health care institutions, and then from April for them 5 percent increase,” said Mali.
The minimum wage is also higher by 6.6 percent, and the burden on wages for employers is lower, said Mali.
He reminded that today, employees in the medical sector will receive a one-time aid of 80 euros.
“I have already given the payment order, so I expect that it will be on the accounts of all health care institutions, and after that on the accounts of employees until the end of the day,” he said, adding that it is not only about health care employees but also institutions related to the Army, MIA, social protection, etc., B92 reports.
