In four new factories, in Indjija, Aleksinac, Cuprija and Zajecar, which represent investments in the field of the automotive industry, a total of about 4,000 new jobs will be created in the coming years.
The realization of these investments will begin by the end of 2020, it was said in the Ministry of Economy.
The Japanese “Tojo Tiger” is coming to Indjija, and another Japanese company is expected to arrive in Novi Sad. The new factory should be opened in Aleksinac by the Austrian company “Magna”, which produces upholstery for car seats, in Cuprija by the company “SMP automotive”, while the Irish company “APTIV”, which manufactures parts for the automotive industry, should come to Zajecar, which should create about 2,500 new jobs in the coming years.
The first investment will be realized in October, and the others by the end of this year. The factory will be built in Indjija by “Tojo Tiger”, one of the world’s most famous car tire manufacturers. This investment will first start in the tenth month of this year.
The State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy, Dragan Stevanovic, says that the value of that investment is around 390 million euros, and that around 500 new jobs will be provided in the future factory in Indjija.
– The state has determined and prepared a proposal for the next Economic Council to support this investment with about 41 million euros of incentives – said Stevanovic.
– The opening of a new factory of the company “Magna”, which has been present in Serbia since 2012, is planned in Aleksinac – he added.
He reminded of the projects of that company in the municipality of Odzaci. Since 2012, they have employed about 1,797 workers. The project in Aleksinac, as he states, will be worth around 9.1 million euros, and it will employ 570 new workers. “Magna” is a serious company that employs about 160,000 people in more than 340 production capacities and in 92 development centers around the world.
– It is very important that companies with such credibility come to Serbia, because on the one hand, they confirm the credibility of our country as investment destinations, on the other hand they send a message to some other, also successful and good investors to recognize and find the future for their business here – Stevanovic points out.
According to him, the company “SMP automotive” in Cuprija will realize its project and it is expected to employ 400-450 new workers. The company is part of a group that also includes “PKC”, which has so far invested 28 million euros through two projects in Smederevo and employed 2,700 people. Regarding the investment in Zajecar, Stevanovic states that about 2,500 new ones will be provided in the coming years. jobs.
– That is very important for Zajecar and Timok region – the Minister emphasizes.
– After so many years of grayness and uncertainty, finally one big serious investment in Zajecar.
He added that it is necessary to wait some more time in order to present much more details and information about these projects. As he says, proposals on the level and value of incentives for companies in Aleksinac and Cuprija are expected soon.
– In these three companies in Indjija, Aleksinac and Cuprija, around 1,500 new jobs are being projected, together with Zajecar, that will be almost 4,000 new jobs in the coming years in Serbia at only four locations – concludes Stevanovic, Srbija Danas reports.
