Norma Group factory in Subotica opens

Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic said on Friday that Serbia is becoming readier as time goes by to attract foreign investment and that the arrival of Norma Group to Subotica is an example of progress in this area.

Opening a car parts factory of Norma Group in Subotica, Dulic stressed that last year this German company began constructing the factory in Subotica estimated at €12 million, which will hire 45 workers.

He said that the factory will produce joints, links and fluid pipes for over 10,000 users worldwide, adding that the entire production will be export-oriented.

German Ambassador to Serbia Wolfram Maas underlined that Germany is Serbia’s important economic partner, adding that economic development and mutual cooperation are important for both countries.

Maas observed that over the past decade, German companies invested a total of €1.5 billion in Serbia, while last year alone investments exceed €60 million.
