The value of the project is 75 million euros, 30m of which were provided from the loan granted by German KfW Bank.

The overhauled X-1 power generator produced 12m kWh of electric energy during 17 days of trial work and testing in October.

It took one year to finish the first phase of revitalization. The job holders were Bajina Basta hydroelectric power plant and Austrian Andritz Hydro, while the building site was alternately occupied by the companies Goza Montaza and Sever and the representatives of Mihajlo Pupin Institute and Nikola Tesla steam power plant.

The completion of the overhaul of the first generator is followed by the commencement of the second phase of revitalization of Bajina Basta hydroelectric power plant, which includes the overhaul of another power generator and should last for one year.
