Potential intensification of cooperation between Serbia and India

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, talked via a video link with the General Director of the Indian company Interglob, Rahul Bhatia, about the possibilities for intensifying the cooperation between the two countries.
Selaković called on the representatives of the Indian airline Indigo, which operates within the company Interglob, to consider the possibility of establishing direct flights to Serbia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
He said that direct flights from Indian cities to Serbia would additionally connect the two countries and contribute to the development of economic cooperation, tourism, but also overall relations, the statement said.
Selaković added that the Serbian national airline Air Serbia is interested in talks on the possibilities of establishing cooperation for flights to third countries, and he also informed his interlocutor about the potentials of Nikola Tesla Airport.
The head of Serbian diplomacy said that Belgrade is proud of the traditional friendship and excellent relations with India, and stated that Serbia, since the abolition of visas for Indian citizens in 2017, has seen a constant increase in the number of tourists from that country.
He informed his interlocutor about the economic reforms in the last seven years in Serbia, and stated that it attracted 61 percent of all foreign direct investments in the region, the statement reads.
Selaković also introduced Bhatia to the tourist potentials of Serbia, rural, spa and mountain tourism, it is added.
