IT consulting, development and implementation company ‘S and T Serbia’ won on Thursday one of the prestigious IT awards given annually by the Pan-European IT information and analysis provider IT Europa for the best customer solutions by IT channels in Europe.
‘S and T’ was a finalist in the Vertical Market Solution Provider Category, and received the award for its successful realization of the web portal eGovernment (www.euprava.gov.rs), Tanjug learned in the Serbian company Friday.
Serbia’s company made the finals among a total of 62 companies from 23 European countries.
Other companies besides ‘S and T’ that have made this year’s European IT Excellence Awards 2011 finals included renowned companies such as CA Technologies, Dell, Oracle and others, and ‘S and T’ was the only finalist from Serbia, featured in the category of companies dealing in conceptualizing and implementing complete IT vertical specific solutions.
This is a major European award and it is our great pleasure that a huge commitment from the entire team who worked on the eGovernment project has been recognized and that the project was declared the best in Europe, said the ‘S and T’ project’s leader Mirko Radovic, who attended the award ceremony at The London Marriott Grosvenor Square late Thursday.
The “glittering event” at the London hotel, as IT Europa put it, was also attended by Director of Serbia’s National Information Technology and Internet Agency Damir Baralic.
“The judges were impressed with the quality of all the entries and the obvious work that had gone into preparing them,” Editorial Director at IT Europa John Chapman commented.
What is especially exciting and what gives us the impetus to move forward is the practical skills and acumen shown in the candidates’ solutions. Our judges have plenty of experience in the IT industry and in assessing IT solutions, so that we did not expect them to give comments like ‘what a fantastic solution’ or ‘what an incredible achievement’, Chapman underlined.
It is now obvious that this statement was primarily related to the work and the entry from Serbia, which confirms a high level of knowledge, skill, expertise, creativity and the proverbial ingenuity of our IT professionals.
