Regional conference of chambers of commerce in Vienna

A regional conference of chambers of commerce of the Berlin Process member-states will take place in Vienna on Tuesday.

The participants will examine the opportunities for establishing closer ties between the West Balkan business communities and their more active inclusion in concrete projects aimed towards sustainable development in the region, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) said in a release.

The conference is initiated by the presidents of chambers of commerce of Serbia and Kosovo, Marko Cadez and Safet Grdzaliu, respectively, and it is organized under the auspices of the European Chamber, at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

The event is part of the preparations for the Viennese Summit, a high-level conference on the Western Balkans, set to take place on August 27.

The conference participants will also include the representatives of the Austrian, German and French chambers of commerce, and the guest of honor will be the president of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.

Officials of the West Balkan chambers of commerce will also attend the gathering dubbed “EU Investment Offensive” at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, where the European Commission and the European Investment Bank will present the EU’s new financial instruments to the leading Austrian companies.
