Until recently, gaming in Serbia was a niche interest primarily for enthusiasts. However, with technological advancements and a surge in interest, the industry is now becoming a significant part of the Serbian economy. While a passion for games has always existed, the past decade has seen a notable boom in the region’s gaming culture.

Today, both young and older generations are immersing themselves in video games, with e-sports tournaments and gaming communities thriving nationwide. Belgrade, as the hub of the regional IT industry, has emerged as the epicenter of this gaming revolution, hosting a growing number of gaming events, conferences, and dedicated spaces. The arrival of cutting-edge technologies, including the latest consoles and high-end gaming computers, has allowed players to explore new realms, from immersive virtual realities to global online competitions.

At a time when Serbia’s gaming industry is flourishing, Belgrade has unveiled its first luxury gaming store, GAME CENTAR. Located at Terazije 24 in the city’s heart, the store opened its doors last Saturday. The launch of GAME CENTAR marks a significant milestone, representing the industry’s evolution and growth in Serbia. The store offers a diverse selection of the latest games, consoles, high-performance computers, and accessories. Visitors had the chance to meet popular YouTube stars like Novket, Mudja, Duleta PC Ax and Joshua Franklin, participate in prize draws, and test out new consoles, including the PlayStation 5.
