Dušan Bajatović, director of Srbijagas, announced today that there are no plans to increase gas prices for households in Serbia, and the price will remain unchanged until the end of the year.
Bajatović told RTS that the gas prices for the economy will stay around the current levels. He noted that there are 163 million cubic meters of gas in the Hungarian storage, and the “Banatski Dvor” warehouse is fully stocked.
Since April, gas prices on European stock exchanges have fluctuated between 30 and 36 euros per megawatt hour, representing a 20% increase compared to the first quarter. Bajatović stated that analyses suggest a reduction in prices is unlikely, as European storage facilities are being filled for the winter. He does not anticipate significant changes in European gas prices due to high storage capacities.
Additionally, Bajatović forecasted that oil prices are unlikely to fall below the $85 to $90 per barrel range for Brent crude before the end of the first quarter of next year.
