Lowest Gas Prices in Six Months Recorded on the European TTF Exchange

The price of gas on the European TTF market today has dropped to 26 euros per megawatt-hour, which is the lowest level in over six months, specifically since July 2023.

According to data from the London ICE exchange, European gas futures were being traded at a price of 26,200 euros per megawatt-hour at 10:07 AM today. Gas prices have fallen by 7.5% just last week, as the heating season in Europe is gradually coming to an end.

The European Gas Infrastructure Operators Association (GIE) announced on February 10th that the current gas storage capacity utilization in Europe is 67%. Specifically, in Germany, it is 73%, in Italy 61%, and in France 54%, as reported by the media and conveyed by Tanjug.
