Industrial production in Serbia shows mixed results in August

Industrial production in Serbia increased by 0.9% in August compared to the same month last year, but was down 0.8% from the 2023 average, according to the Republic’s Statistical Office.

From January to August 2024, production rose by 2.6% year-on-year. The seasonally adjusted index for August 2024 indicates a 0.7% growth for the entire industry and a 1.2% increase for the processing sector compared to July 2024.

Sector-wise, mining experienced a decline of 5%, and the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector dropped by 16.4%. Conversely, the processing industry saw a growth of 5%.
