Serbia ends the year with billions of euros in investments

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said today in Krusevac that he expects that Serbia will end this year with 2.9 billion euros of direct foreign investments, which is 63% of the total investments in the Western Balkans.
– Only Serbia received two thirds of the total investments in the Western Balkans, and that speaks of the attractiveness and stability of our country – he said.
– That’s a lot of money. When you look at the costs of building and equipping the hospitals in Batajnica and Krusevac, it will cost us a little less than 100 million euros. I hope that all pensioners received 45 euros each, which is, when you calculate the number of pensioners, 75 million euros. We also paid six minimums to the hotel and catering industry. It was all given by the state, it was gifts – he said.
Vucic said that the state, despite everything, managed to keep the public debt under control.
– Our public debt has grown the least of all countries. In some countries, it grew between 9 and 17 percent, and in our country, no more than five percent. I am proud of how we manage public finances – he underlined.
He said that he was proud that it is now understood that Serbia does not always have to be among the worst, but that it can be among the best.
– We understand more and more that we are not worse than others in anything, and that everything depends on us. If we work and are committed we can always be at the top. If we do not think of filling only our pockets, but how can our Serbia be richer. When you do that then there are not many problems. We always leave something in reserve – he emphasized.
There are, of course, problems, such as facilities that still need to be renovated, which seems to be the case now.
He pointed out that he was criticized for being three days late with the works in Batajnica, and five days late in Krusevac, but that it was the smallest delay in Serbia for projects that no one even dreamed we would be able to finish at all, Srbija Danas reports.
