Serbia has many advantages over other countries in the wider region, thus being interesting to potential investors from Italy, stated Secretary General of the Italian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce Pietro Vacchiano. According to him, what makes Serbia especially attractive is its exquisite geographic position that opens the possibility for distribution in third markets, and primarily the Russian one. Other advantages are the subsidies of the Serbian Government and local authorities to foreign investors, as well as the cheaper workforce than in other countries, pointed Vacchiano. During the visit to the National Agency for Local Development in Zajecar, in eastern Serbia, the delegation of Italian businessmen has concluded that there are great possibilities for stronger cooperation in various branches of economy, such as the metallurgy, tourism and infrastructure.
