Serbia expects average raspberry production

Supported byClarion Owner's Engineer
Back in May harsh weather conditions had adverse effects on some raspberry plantations in Serbia which led to fears of a significant decrease in production.
Currently, raspberry production is considered “pretty good”. The industry expects production to be slightly down compared to that of last year (110,000 tonnes) but to be a good average of about 85,000 tonnes.
Serbia ranks number one worldwide in raspberry production, representing almost a quarter of total production (420,000 tonnes). Serbian raspberries export head to mainly Germany, France, Belgium, Sweden and Austria.
