Serbia’s economy ministry has called a tender for the privatisation of chemicals group MSK Kikinda, public broadcaster RTS reported on Tuesday.
The starting price in the tender is set at 38.5 million euro ($45.3 million) and the deadline for the submission of bids is February 9, 2018, RTS quoted sources from the economy ministry as saying.
The tender will be open to Serbian and foreign companies active in the chemicals industry, with an annual revenue of at least 150 million euro.
Serbia’s economy minister Goran Knezevic said in November the government invited letters of interest from potential investors a few months ago and received several important ones.
In September, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) urged state-owned gas monopoly Srbijagas to dispose of non-core assets by selling its stakes in MSK Kikinda, HIP Azotara Pancevo and ceramics producer Toza Markovic.
