Zijin Mining is the first company in Serbia to confirm the compliance of its operations with the requirements of the international standard SA 8000

As stated, this standard regulates the absence of child and forced labor, occupational health and safety, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, discrimination, disciplinary procedures, working hours, wages, supplier and subcontractor compliance.

“The company has proven that it has a responsible approach to extremely important areas of work and socially responsible business, as well as that it is focused on increasing productivity through risk management, competitiveness and achieving a better position on the labor market, improving relations with the public, governmental and non-governmental sectors, as well as and on building trust among employees, investors, local communities and consumers,” said the Chinese company.

In accordance with the requirements of SA 8000, in this company they state that they have formed a Team for Socially Responsible Business in order to improve communication between employees and management and to implement a social policy by which it undertakes to apply relevant requirements when performing all business activities and in relations with all interested parties social responsibilities prescribed by this standard.
