Serbia to launch several tenders for rail infrastructure upgrades

State-owned Serbian railways infrastructure company intends to open several tenders for rail infrastructure upgrades in the period September 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Monday.

The planned tenders are all part of a project worth a total of 91.5 million euro ($108.0 million), the EBRD said in a notice posted on its website.

The company intends to use the proceeds of a loan from the EBRD to finance the project, the bank said.

The tenders will include contracts for the reconstruction of the Jajinci – Mala Krsna railway section and the rehabilitation of Mala Krsna station.
