The National Bank of Serbia has published a list of nine systemically important banks in Serbia and the rate of capital protection for those banks. Systemically significant banks are those whose financial condition worsens or ceases to operate, which would have serious negative consequences on the stability of the financial system in Serbia.
According to the NBS list, systemically significant banks in Serbia:

The National Bank of Serbia adopted the Decision on determining the list of systemically importantbanks in Serbia (June 15). Based on this decision, banks that have been identified as systemicallysignificant are required to maintain additional basic share capital in the amount of one or two percent of the bank’s risky assets, depending on the degree of their systemic significance.
The decision applies from June 30, 2023, announced the National Bank of Serbia.
At the end of 2011, the Basel Committee for the Supervision of Banks published a methodological framework for determining the global systemic importance of banks, and at the end of 2012, a framework for identifying the systemic importance of banks at the national level, writes the NBS press release.
The protective layer of capital for systemically important banks has been applied since June 30, 2017, and the National Bank of Serbia, at least once a year, reviews the protective layer of capital for systemically important banks and the methodology for determining systemically important banks, according to a statement from the central bank.
