From October 1, Serbia will become a transit country for gas supply to Hungary and Central Europe,
Bajatovic estimated that the interconnection Dimitrovgrad-Sofia would be finished in June next year, and added that we will see what the competition will be like and how much gas will come from there.
“As for the Belgrade-Banja Luka gas pipeline, Srbijagas will help with the expropriation, and it would be good if we could do that before the construction of the highway to Belgrade, because it would be cheaper,” said Bajatovic.
The director of Srbijagas said that the public company had repaid the debts since 2014, thanks to the help of the state, and that since then it has been operating on market principles, selling more than 80 percent of the gas at its disposal.
“There is no more social policy, Srbijagas has made a serious profit every year. If you sell on the market, then there are the market prices,” said Bajatovic.
He announced that the amount that users will pay for the connection to the network will be clearly indicated on the gas bill.
“It will be 780 euros, for three years, interest-free, in dinars,” Bajatovic mentioned.
Asked whether the allegations in the public that his monthly income was 30,000 euros were true, he said that they were a little higher than that, but he did not specify how much.
“As far as the salary in Srbijagas is concerned, it is 1,420 euros, the rest is income from foreign companies, of which there are many,” said Bajatovic.
The director of Srbijagas said that he had not seen the Minister of Mining and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, since the meetings in the Government of Serbia since he was removed on October 31 last year, but he commented on that event.
“If it weren’t for the people from the Government, I would have fought with those from the security,” said Bajatovic, Politika reports.
