Serbian Companies Participate at the Biggest International Food Fair in Paris from October 17-21,2010

At the national stand of Serbia during the world’s largest food fair SIAL, that begins on October 17 in Paris, 12 Serbian food companies will participate in the organization of the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency of the Republic of Serbia (SIEPA).

The Head of the Export Promotion Department from SIEPA, Ms Tatiana Radovan, told to BETA that during the previous appearance at the SIAL 1500 contacts have been recorded and export of 9 million euros was realized, adding that this year SIEPA expects even better results of our companies.

– The Serbian national stand at SIAL will be presented by 12 food companies, with products such as spices, different varieties of honey, pepper chutney, jam, frozen fruits and vegetables, alcoholic and soft drinks and confectionery products – said Radovan.

According to her, SIEPA for the fourth time organized participation of Serbian companies at the food fair in Paris.

SIEPA prepared the calendar of trade fairs for the year 2011 with more than 20 trade fairs abroad. These fairs will be held in the world, mostly in Europe – Germany, France and Italy, but this year we are going to open and start the presentation of our companies at the new markets such as Belarus, Russia and Japan – said Radovan.

SIAL Paris is the largest food exhibition in the world which is held once in two years and each time it is visited by more than 150,000 people from over 180 countries.

At this year edition of this trade fair that is going to be held from October 17 to 21, 5500 companies will participate from 101 countries.
