The owner of Delta Holding, Miroslav Miskovic, stated that this year, following the world trends, the company entered another big business – online trade.
“It’s a business run by Amazon and Alibaba. The new company will be called “Pineapple” and will start in the summer of this year. We will invest 100 million euros in that business in the next few years. We take world-renowned experts from the best companies. Some of those people are already in Belgrade,” announced Miskovic, for the new issue of Nedeljnik.
As it is, these experts will train “the strongest team we could put together for that business”.
“We have very prominent people from Delta who are dedicated only to that business, and we attach great importance to that business,” Miskovic pointed out.
The paper states that he talked to several media on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Delta Holding.
When asked what message he has, for employees but also for others, Miskovic stated that 15 years ago he had a message that is still relevant today, and it concerns politics and business.
“Maybe our politicians want to have companies in Serbia such as Siemens, Microsoft, Zara and their owners. But they don’t. They have us. Maybe we also want to have Angela Merkel, Biden… but, unfortunately, we don’t. I said that 15 years ago and now I am repeating the same call because it is still relevant. We have to talk because neither our politicians have better businessmen than us, nor do we have better politicians than them. “Through cooperation, we can reach the goal, which the people expect from us,” Miskovic said.
He also said that his biggest dissatisfaction during the 30 years since Delta started working was his arrest.
“And even bigger, if there is one, is the arrest of my son. Even today, I suffer because my son suffers because of the success of Delta. They were not allowed to touch the children. To arrest a child because the father is successful, I don’t think it was good,” said Miskovic, who, like his son, is being tried on charges of tax evasion, N1 reports.
