Serbia’s priority is traffic connections with the region and the world

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, stated today that the priority of the Government of Serbia is to connect the country with the region, Europe and the world through all types of traffic.
He pointed out at the opening of the online conference on real estate and infrastructure development “Development of the Future” that Serbia is currently allocating significant funds for infrastructure, and that he expects that the construction of a modern road, railway and water network will further encourage faster economic development.
He reminded that the construction of the highway Belgrade – Sarajevo, from the direction Kuzmin – Sremska Raca, in the length of 18 kilometers, where the works are already underway, as well as from the direction Pozega – Kotroman, 60 kilometers long, which is being projected, is being accelerated.
He also reminds that the part of the “Milos Veliki” highway from Belgrade to Cacak has been completed, stating that the works on the section from Preljina to Pozega have been accelerated, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, while the section from Pozega to Boljar is being built.
According to him, in the field of railway infrastructure, the most important is the reconstruction of the railway Corridor 10.
“I expect that we will have a fast railway built between Belgrade and Novi Sad by the end of this year,” Momirovic said.
He also pointed out that after several decades, the realization of the investment plan for the improvement of the transport infrastructure of the Danube, Sava and Tisza, worth 500 million euros, has begun.
The ship’s leaders Djerdap 1 and Djerdap 2 are also being reconstructed, and the wider capacities of ports in Belgrade, Smederevo, Prahovo, Bogojevo, Sremska Mitrovica are being built.
Momirovic believes that the accelerated construction of large infrastructure projects in Serbia has enabled the growth of the real estate market.
He also reminded of the project of building apartments for members of the security forces, emphasizing that 7,000 apartments are being built in Belgrade, Vranje, Nis, Novi Sad and Sremska Mitrovica.
At the sixth conference on real estate development and infrastructure “Development of the future” in the online format, domestic and international real estate experts spoke.
The gathering was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the British-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the British Embassy, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the National Association of Appraisers of Serbia and the Association of Appraisers of Serbia, Beta reports.
