Serbia’s public debt in August was 56.7 percent of GDP

At the end of January 2020, the public debt amounted to 24.20 billion euros.
At the end of August 2020, Serbia’s public debt amounted to 26.608 billion euros, while its share in the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) remained at the same level as in July of 56.7 percent, the Ministry of Finance announced.
In nominal terms, public debt increased by 28.8 million euros in August compared to July, when it amounted to 26.579 billion euros.
At the end of January 2020, the public debt amounted to 24.20 billion euros, and at the end of December last year to 23.94 billion euros, which accounted for 52 percent of GDP, Srbija Danas reports.
