Serbia’s Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mirko Cvetkovic talked yesterday with a delegation of the Forum of small and medium-sized enterprises on the eve of celebration of the European week of small and medium-sized enterprises in Serbia.
Cvetkovic underlined that the SMEs sector is of great importance for the economic development of Serbia and that the Serbian government and relevant ministries are interested in having a continuous dialogue so that they could resolve all problems entrepreneurs are facing.
Representatives of SMEs submitted to the government a proposal of measures and stressed that dialogue they have with the Serbian government is very important to them.
Cvetkovic said that the Serbian government has already been examining these proposals and that most of them are in the final stages of implementation.
The Prime Minister announced the adoption of a regulation by which the deadline for payment for users of public funds would be limited to 60 days, adoption of regulations that will oblige employers to pay social and pension contributions and income tax and the establishment of the Development Bank of Serbia.
