Menzies Aviation assumes responsibility for overseeing technical reception and dispatch, baggage management, aircraft de-icing, passenger services, as well as assisting passengers with limited mobility and cargo handling at Belgrade’s “Nikola Tesla” Airport. Belgrade Airport, a part of the VINCI Airports group holding the airport concession, announced Menzies Aviation as a leading global partner for airports and airlines.
The recently signed agreement involves the transfer of all contracted ground handling responsibilities from Belgrade Airport to Menzies Aviation, with the approval of partner airlines. All previous staff members in Belgrade Airport’s ground handling division have now signed employment contracts with Menzies Aviation, their new employer.
In 2023, Menzies Aviation inked a deal with Air Serbia for passenger and technical services, effective from February 2024. Over the initial year, Menzies’ local teams will manage more than 22,000 flight operations at Serbia’s largest and most bustling airport.
The joint commitment of Belgrade Airport and Menzies Aviation emphasizes close collaboration with each other and partnerships with the national carrier, Air Serbia, and other airlines. Their goal is to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality ground and passenger services to passengers, as stated in the official announcement.
