The Science and Technology Park (STP) Belgrade presented on Monday a public call to foreign chambers of commerce and representative offices of high-tech development companies that would like to do business in that complex.

Over 30 companies have so far applied, and the public call is open until October 9, it was said in the meeting at the STP Belgrade.

Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Srdjan Verbic has voiced the hope that the number of applicants would be even bigger, and noted that STP Belgrade Complex is the first and currently the only in Serbia, as it was established in June.

“Now it is important that the founders – the Government of Serbia, City of Belgrade and the University of Belgrade demonstrate their commitment to the project,” Verbic said.

STP Belgrade Acting Director Gordana Danilovic Grkovic has said that the public call is aimed at domestic and foreign high-tech development companies, and that it is the Park’s goal to boost growth.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Austrian-Serbian and Russian-Serbian chambers of commerce, and representative of the Canadian-Serbian Business Association Mirjana Doncic Beaton.

Prospective members of STP Belgrade Complex will have at their disposal infrastructure and professional services such as access to knowledge bases, financial and legal consulting, intellectual property protection and promotions.
