Support for the Serbian economy raises GDP

The Ministry of Economy has set aside 1.3 billion euros this year to preserve liquidity and encourage employment, and thus about 250,000 companies have received support.
For the next year, a lot of money has been allocated for this purpose and new investments, and that will have the greatest impact on GDP growth. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Andjelka Atnanaskovic, at the online conference of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce on business plans for 2021.
– For the next year, the Ministry planned 150 million euros in the budget and for the support of the economy, and more than 125 million euros for encouraging direct investments – said Atanaskovic. – 17.5 million euros has been set aside to support the development of entrepreneurship, while 17 million euros has been set aside for several programs intended for companies.
The funds are mainly intended, as she states, for the purchase of equipment for beginners in business, and this year it was decided to direct a part of the money to women’s and youth entrepreneurship.
– 13.3 million euros is planned in the budget for infrastructure projects of regional development – the Minister pointed out. – The improvement of industrial and business zones has so far yielded results and engaged part of the funds from local self-government, which also has a positive effect on GDP growth, Novosti reports.
