The Commission examines the distortion of competition in the milk and beer market in Serbia

Due to the well-founded assumption that they concluded a restrictive agreement and set a minimum resale price, the Commission for the Protection of Competition has initiated proceedings against Imlek and Apatin Brewery as suppliers and retailers – food market buyers, the KPC website announced.
Proceedings to investigate competition breaches in the milk and dairy and beer wholesale markets include 23 market participants, the KPC said.
The initiation of the proceedings came after a sectoral analysis of the retail market in predominantly food, beverage and tobacco stores for the period 2017-2018. years and analysis of contracts collected between suppliers of individual products and their customers, according to the KPC, Tanjug reports.
The Commission for Protection of Competition invited all persons who have access to the data, documents or other relevant information that can contribute to a more complete determination of the facts.
