Serbia’s State Secretary of Tourism at the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Goran Petkovic said that the construction of the Falkensteiner Hotel in New Belgrade will be completed before the deadline expires and the hotel may open its doors as soon as summer 2012.
Following a tour of the hotel’s construction site, Petkovic stressed that it has been a long time since such a large hotel with 180 rooms has been built, as hotels with only ten to 70 rooms had been built, which is why Belgrade lacks hotel accommodation.
