The five most successful hoteliers in Serbia will have revenues of around EUR 85 million in 2022

In 2022, MK Mountain Resort, Delta Hospitality and Alco Group Hotels generated the most revenue among companies registered for hotel and similar accommodation, according to data shared by the regional credit rating company CompanyWall.

The first five hotel companies ranked by total revenue in the past year, when the state statistics “reported” a record revenue of 2.5 billion euros from tourism, achieved an inflow of about EUR 85 million.

This year, it is expected that the inflow from tourism will break the record from 2022, an amendment to the Regulation was adopted on the basis of which the state will encourage investments in the construction and expansion of the capacity of Belgrade hotels as part of the preparations for EXPO 2027, and the final privatization of one of the most attractive companies from the state portfolio – the company Slavija Hotels with two buildings on the central square of the same name in Belgrade.

Also, we should not forget that in mid-November, the renovated Sava Center returned to the market, which already organizes congresses and other events on a large scale. This also means more work for hoteliers who, according to CompanyWall data, have already left one successful year behind them.

MK Mountain Resort (MKMR), the largest ski resort in Serbia and, as pointed out by the MK Group on its portal, the second largest ski resort in Southeast Europe, is at the top of the list in terms of total revenues and operating results.

According to CompanyWall data, MKMR achieved a total revenue of EUR 29 million and an EBITDA of EUR 6.7 billion in 2022, and MK Group states that 74 million euros were invested in the Grand Kopaonik hotel until 2019.

Hotel Grand used to belong to the company Internacional CG, i.e. Generalexport (Genex), and exactly 15 years ago, the founder of MK Group bought it and Hotel Konake for 23 million euros.

Although it did not report a profit in 2022, Delta Hospitality recorded a total income of EUR 20 million in its business books. Delta Hospitality, according to earlier announcements, has Crowne Plaza Belgrade, Indigo, InterContinental Ljubljana and Radisson Collection Old Mill hotels in its portfolio.

By the way, at the end of July this year, Delta Holding announced that the Crowne Plaza hotel in Belgrade recorded 17 percent higher occupancy in six months compared to the same period last year, which, they pointed out, contributed to the growth in the first half of the year. income of 48 percent.

“June 2023 is the most successful month since the Crowne Plaza hotel was opened, less than 10 years ago,” Delta Holding boasted at the time.

In third place according to total revenues in 2022 are Alco Group Hotels, which in public often emphasize that their “A Hotels” chain is the first Serbian high-category hotel chain.

The “A Hotels” group consists of five hotels throughout Serbia: Izvor in Arandjelovac, Grand&Sky Hotel Tornik on Zlatibor, as well as hotels Sloboda in Šabac and Park and Slatina in Vrnjačka banja.
