The goal is for Serbia to achieve the highest growth rate in Europe in 2020

Minister of Finance SiniĊĦa Mali stated that Serbia had a growth rate of five percent in the first quarter of the year and that the goal is for Serbia to achieve the highest growth rate in Europe this year.
Mali told TV Prva that the starting position of Serbia is better than other countries and that the country is slowly opening up the economy.
“We had closed stores, now they are open, as well as our factories, we have a clear strategy of what and how to do next,” said Mali.
He also said that the rebalance of the budget of 3.6 billion is planned for the continuation and accelerated work on the Moravian Corridor.
He underlined that Serbia has good cooperation with the IMF and added that the balance of payments is stable, and that we regularly settle our obligations.
Mali reminded that we entered the capital market on Monday and that it is an indicator that investors believe in our reforms.
The Minister added that the idea was to help the citizens and the economy to overcome this crisis with the measures adopted in the past period, and for the state to bear the greatest burden, Novosti reports.
