The index of the most liquid shares, Belex15, on the Belgrade Stock Exchange jumped two percent last week, to 905.6 points, which is the highest level in the past three months, the Momentum Securities brokerage announced.
The total trading turnover was, as stated EUR 1.3 million.
The share of Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS) was traded the most, mostly at a price of EUR 6.2, and the value of turnover was EUR 176 thousand.
The price of crude oil increased by about four percent last week, so “Brent” oil cost above 94 dollars per barrel, which is a 10-month high. That flywheel for business results will be somewhat neutralized by higher excise taxes by about eight percent, which will come into force on October 1st.
Dunav osiguranje’s shares rose slightly, to EUR 8.4, with a turnover of EUR 30 thousand.
