Negotiations on free trade between Serbia and the UAE begin

Today, Serbia signed a strategic document with the United Arab Emirates, which started the negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, said the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade, Tomislav Momirović.

With the signing of this strategic document, negotiations on free trade between the UAE and Serbia formally begin – said Momirović, who signed the document on behalf of the Government of Serbia.

Momirović emphasized that the Free Trade Agreement with the UAE will also encourage new investments in Serbia from what he said is a very rich country.

Belgrade on the water, Aldahra, investments in the port of Novi Sad and many other investments from the UAE are the result of good political relations between our countries – said Momirović.

The minister also pointed out that the Government of Serbia has shown in previous years that it is strongly focused on supporting the private sector and attracting new investments. Momirović is on a two-day visit to the UAE, during which he had a bilateral meeting with the country’s Minister of Foreign Trade, Thani Ahmed Al Zayudi, in Dubai.
