At the Product Exchange, turnover fell, mostly corn

During the previous working week, 2,555 tons of goods were traded through the Product Exchange in Novi Sad, which represents a drop of 38.42 percent compared to the previous week, according to the stock exchange report, adding that the financial value of the trade also fell by 30.36 percent, which amounted to EUR 538 thousand.

For the fourth week in a row, corn was the most traded agricultural crop, since its share in the total volume of measurements was 61 percent.

The demand for corn was higher than the supply, especially when it comes to the new corn variety.

On the wheat market, activity was weak both on the supply and demand side, buyers inquired about wheat with higher quality parameters, and feed wheat was also in demand. Wheat was traded at a price of 0.16 EUR/kg without VAT.

At the end of the week, the first commodity-exchange contracts for soybeans of this year’s crop were concluded on the soybean market at a single price of 0.42 EUR/kg without VAT, while the demand for the old soybean crop was weak.
