The pandemic has not reduced investment in startups in Serbia

In the last two years, five times more investors are interested in investing in young innovative companies in Serbia, while the capital invested in startups is three times higher than it was before 2019, says Sara Milosavljevic, marketing manager of Impact Hub. As she points out, that is the reason for young people to stay in the country, because they understand that the necessary investments can be made in Serbia, and that work and development can also continue without going abroad.
The Autumn Demo Days, which will begin on September 23, are a new opportunity for startups to present themselves to investors, among whom are often representatives of world-famous technology companies, such as Facebook, Google, but also financial institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The presentation to investors lasts for three minutes, after which the seven best are selected, and they are further trained for meetings with investors.
“Innovative solutions in the field of digital media, fin-tech, clean-tech are being sought, but other areas are also being considered. Entrepreneurs – founders and co-founders of startups are especially encouraged. The invitation is also valid for startups from the entire region, from the entire Western Balkans. Sara Milosavljevic also reminds that Impact Hub helped more than 250 startups, and more than two million euros of investments were provided, N1 reports.
