The Serbian government has adopted a program for subsidies to tourism

Today, the Government of Serbia adopted a program to support tourism worth 1.25 million euros, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications announced.
Based on that Program of scheduling and using subsidies to support the work of travel agencies organizing travel trips due to business difficulties caused by the epidemic of COVID-19 disease, the Ministry immediately announced a public call for subsidies, which is open until December 4.
Minister Tatjana Matic said that she expects that the initiative of the relevant ministry for the reduction of value added tax in catering will be considered soon.
“Given the damage suffered by the tourism sector, it is important to react quickly, as with previous relief measures, and to support tourism, especially bearing in mind that it is one of our most promising industries,” Matic pointed out, Novi Magazin reports.
