Turkey will continue with large economic investments in Serbia and the region, Serbian Parliament Speaker Ivica Dacic said today, adding that relations between the two countries are at a very high level.
After the meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Dacic said that the focus of the talks was the construction of the Belgrade-Sarajevo highway.
“Erdogan said that the goal he will especially insist on is the construction of the Belgrade-Sarajevo highway. When I say especially to insist, I mean the Bosnian-Herzegovinian side and overcoming all misunderstandings that exist there, and he expressed readiness for both him personally and Turkey to engage in the normalization of relations in BiH,” said Dacic.
According to him, great progress has been noted in the relations between the two countries.
“The engine of friendship and mutual trust that exists between Turkey and Serbia is certainly the friendship between Erdogan and Vucic,” the president of the assembly pointed out.
Dacic said that the Turkish president expressed great expectations from the meeting with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, which will be held on Saturday, RTV reports.
