Air Serbia welcomes 2.55 millionth pax for 2016 on 16-Dec-2016

Air Serbia has today handled its 2.55 millionth guest in 2016, surpassing the record passenger milestone achieved during the entire year of 2015.

With two weeks to go until the end of the year, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia is on track to deliver another successive year of strong operational growth.

The lucky passenger, Biljana Stanivuković, was presented with two return Economy Class tickets to any destination on Air Serbia’s short-haul network after checking in for the airline’s morning flight, JU380, from Belgrade to London Heathrow.

Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, said: “We are delighted to have already carried 2.55 million passengers this year, breaking the record achieved for the full year of 2015.

“Our traffic growth has been driven by the expansion of our network in Europe and to North America, and it is especially pleasing to see both our new and established routes performing well.

“We are now in the middle of the winter holidays, one of the busiest travel periods of the year, and will carry thousands more guests to and from Belgrade before we wrap up 2016.

“Sustainable growth has always been at the forefront of our business development strategy at Air Serbia and we will continue to focus on fulling this mandate as we enter the new year.”

The Serbian flag carrier launched five new routes in 2016, expanding its network to 44 destinations. This included its highly-anticipated and first transatlantic service, New York, as well as Hamburg, Kiev, Ohrid and St Petersburg.

Air Serbia već danas premašila prošlogodišnji rekord u broju putnika

Er Srbija je danas ugostila svog 2.550.000. putnika u 2016. godini i tako već sada premašila svoj rekordni broj putnika ostvaren 2015. godine.

Sa još dve nedelje do kraja godine, nacionalna avio-kompanija Republike Srbije na putu je da završi drugu godinu zaredom snažnog rasta poslovanja.

Jubilarna gošća Biljana Stanivuković, nagrađena je sa dve povratne karte do evropske destinacije po izboru, nakon što se prijavila na jutarnji let Er Srbije JU380, od Beograda do aerodroma London, Hitrou.

Dane Kondić, generalni direktor Er Srbije, rekao je: “Izuzetno nam je drago da smo već prevezli 2,55 miliona putnika ove godine, oborivši tako rekord koji je postignut za celu 2015. godinu. Rastu saobraćaja doprinelo je širenje naše mreže u Evropi i Severnoj Americi, i posebno je zadovoljstvo videti kako se i na našim novim, kao i na ranije uspostavljenim rutama, beleže dobri rezultati. Trenutno se nalazimo usred zimskih odmora, jednom od najprometnijih turističkih perioda tokom godine, i prevešćemo još hiljade gostiju do i od Beograda, pre nego što se 2016. godina završi. Održivi razvoj uvek je bio glavni fokus naše poslovne strategije razvoja Er Srbije, i nastavićemo u istom smeru i u narednoj godini.”

Srpska nacionalna avio-kompanija uspostavila je pet novih linija u 2016. godini, proširivši svoju mrežu na 44 destinacije. U nove destinacije spadaju dugo očekivana prekookeanska linija do Njujorka, kao i Hamburg, Kijev, Ohrid i Sankt Peterburg.
