Minister of Economy Slobodan Cvetković stated that American companies employ more than 30,000 people in Serbia and that Serbia is open and ready to welcome an even more significant number of American investors, positively impacting its global image, as announced today by his office.

After a meeting with the President of the American-Serbian Business Council and the American-Central European Business Association “ACEBA,” Eric Stuart, in Washington, he mentioned that investments from American companies motivate businesses from the countries of the United States’ closest allies to come to Serbia and invest money.

“Our trade exchange is below real potentials and possibilities. The total value of trade exchange in the first eleven months of 2023 amounted to approximately 1.047 billion dollars,” stated Cvetković.

He added that it is necessary to move forward with the concretization of cooperation, and there should be an intensification of meetings between Serbian and American businessmen, representing a further step towards the realization of mutually beneficial projects.

Cvetković invited American investors to visit Serbia and capitalize on the potentials for investment and the development of their businesses.

Stuart emphasized that American companies are satisfied with the treatment and business conditions in Serbia. He expressed the desire for Serbian institutions to further collaborate with American institutions, which can influence American companies to choose Serbia as a destination for investment, as stated in the announcement.
