Austria supports organic food production in south Serbia

In association with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Power Engineering, the Jablanica and Pcinj Development Center has started implementation of the Support to Organic Food Production in South Serbia project, which is financed by the Austria Development Agency.

Having in mind that the aim of the project is to support the sectors of organic food production and processing in order to become more competitive in domestic and foreign markets and, thus, contribute to creation of new jobs in the region, a research of needs and interest of business subjects and agricultural farms in organic food production is underway on the territory of Vranje.

The planned budget of this project is EUR 775,000, which will be provided by ADA, the Jablanica and Pcinj Development Center and the project users.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Power Engineering will provide non-material means, that is, a training for all participants in this project. The plan is that the project lasts for 24 months.
