The submission of the request for a refund of the value added tax for the purchase of food and equipment for babies starts today, the Tax Administration announced.
The right to a refund of value added tax for the purchase of baby food and equipment is valid for children born as of June 30, 2018, until the age of two.
The competent organizational unit of the Tax Administration will, in the period from 1 to 15 July 2020, in accordance with its authorizations, receive requests for VAT refunds for the purchase of baby food and equipment, which were born as of June 30, 2018.
After the procedure of control of fulfillment of conditions for exercising the right to VAT refund, the competent organizational unit of the Tax Administration is obliged to decide on the request by a decision, within 30 days from the day of submitting the request.
The decision determining the right to a VAT refund, ie rejecting the request for a VAT refund, shall be delivered to the applicant, Kamatica reports.
