Banca Intesa won the prestigious award of the international financial magazine Euromoney for “The best bank in Serbia” in 2020. The magazine’s editors, journalists and researchers selected the world’s most successful banks as part of the traditional annual “Excellence Awards” selection based on a range of quantitative and qualitative parameters, including financial performance, business growth and the ability to adapt to market changes and customer needs. The choice was the banks ’response to the challenges posed by the global pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus.
“We are very honored to have received the prestigious Euromoney magazine award for the sixth time, which is a confirmation of our market leadership and the correctness of our business strategy. An improved information platform, continued transformation of the business model and focus on customer needs have enabled us to remain a stable partner of the state and a support for citizens and the economy even in the conditions of a global pandemic, providing support for economic recovery. In accordance with the requirements of modern banking, in the coming period we will continue to digitize processes and services, improving operational efficiency and quality of products and services, with the aim of improving the satisfaction of our customers,” said Draginja Djuric, President of the Executive Board of Banca Intesa.
In addition to the award for “Best Bank in Serbia”, the international banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, within which Banca Intesa operates, also received awards for the most successful bank in Italy and Croatia in 2020.
Banca Intesa is a long-term leader in the domestic market measured by all key business indicators – total assets, capital, loans and customer deposits. The bank operates with 1.34 million clients to whom it makes available innovative products, superior service and a unique combination of developed business network and digital services.
With a tradition of more than 50 years, Euromoney is the world’s leading magazine in the field of finance. The “Excellence Awards”, established in 1992 as the first recognition of its kind in the global banking industry, are one of the most prestigious business awards in the financial community, Alo reports.
