Chinese company CBRC ready for corridor and other projects in Serbia

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, talked today with Zhang Xiaoyuan, the director of the company CRBC, which is implementing several important projects in Serbia whose estimated value is more than seven billion euros.
The topic of the meeting was current and future projects that the Chinese company is working on in Serbia.
“Apart from the construction of the highway from Preljina to Pozega, which is in progress, the construction of the Fruska Gora corridor, the preparation of project-technical documentation for the section from Pozega to Duga Poljana, as well as the construction of the Belgrade-Nis and Nis-Presevo high-speed railways are very important to us,” said the minister.
Mihajlovic reminded that Serbian institutions have excellent cooperation and successfully completed projects with that Chinese company, and that she believes that cooperation will be good on future tasks as well.
Zhang Xiaoyuan expressed satisfaction with the new joint projects and goals and thanked the Deputy Prime Ministers and the Ministry’s team for their support.
“Despite the epidemic, we have all done a great job so far. We are looking forward to continued cooperation on new, important for Serbia projects. We are preparing documentation for the section of the highway from Pozega to Duga Poljana, we are ready for the Fruska Gora corridor, but also for further talks when it is about the reconstruction of the high-speed railway,” he said.
The meeting was attended by the directors of “Serbian Railway Infrastructure” and the Road Institute, the executive director of “Serbian Roads”, representatives of the Traffic Institute CIP, as well as a representative of the Chinese Embassy, RTV reports.
