The Chinese company TBEA is interested in building a new gas thermal power plant in Kragujevac.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Serbia and the Minister of Mining and Energy, Zorana Mihajlovic, talked today with the representatives of the Chinese company TBEA about the potential project for the construction of TE-TO Kragujevac, the Ministry of Mining and Energy announced.

– Serbia is open for new investments in the field of energy and we are open for talks on all potential projects. When it comes to the project of building TE-TO Kragujevac, possible further steps on this project will depend on what the previous feasibility study will show, and the working group of the Government that will be formed will deal with the project itself – stated Mihajlovic.

The head of the European representative office of TBEA, Zhang Weiwei, said that the company was analyzing investment opportunities in Serbia, especially when it comes to renewable energy sources, including hydroelectric power plants, solar and wind power plants, as well as gas power plant projects.

The Chinese company TBEA is engaged in the production of equipment for the transmission and distribution of electricity, as well as the construction of electricity capacities, including projects in the field of renewable energy sources, eKapija reports.
