The Chinese company “Minth Automotive Europe” d.o.o., which is engaged in the production of auto parts, submitted as the project holder to the Ministry of Environmental Protection a request for consent to the Environmental Impact Assessment Study, due to the construction of its new plant in Šabac. That company wants to make aluminum housings and battery housing parts for electric cars.
As stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the study was submitted for the MINTH Production Plant, with accompanying facilities and infrastructure, a production facility, a plant for the treatment of technological waste water, a chemical warehouse, a waste warehouse, boiler rooms, in the cadastral municipality of Majur, in the area of Šabac.

“The complex will annually produce around 760,000 units of products, which represent parts of the aluminum housing for batteries or the battery housing itself, which is used in the automotive industry,” the text adds.
As explained, the battery case is located in the chassis of the car and is a unit for loading and protecting the battery systems for powering modern electric vehicles.
“It is created as a combination of aluminum parts created by the process of extrusion, drilling. Aluminum profiles of various shapes for the automotive industry will be produced within the production complex,” the study says.
